Yvette found her yoga practice when she moved to Austin in 2012. After practicing yoga for over a decade, she became an RYT-200 certified teacher and opened her studio in 2022. Yvette believes in holding space for her students, honoring the body that shows up, and practicing yoga with self-compassion.
She offers private one-on-one and partner yoga classes focusing on mindfulness, breathing, and moving meditation. A curated yoga practice awaits you regardless of your energy level, flexibility, balance, or joint sensitivity.
In her cozy yoga studio, Yvette offers classes in:
Vinyasa: A practice that links asanas/poses together with the breath in a flowing sequence.
Yin: A quiet, slow-paced, and contemplative practice with asanas held for 3 to 10 minutes in a seated or reclined position.
Restorative Yoga: A restful practice focused on slowing down and opening the body through passive stretching.
Adaptive Yoga: A style of yoga that considers all bodies and abilities. With props, traditional asanas are tailored to the physical body rather than fitting and forcing the body into a particular pose and shape.
Chair Yoga: A gentle form of yoga practiced while seated or using a chair for balance. An excellent practice for people with mobility challenges or difficulty getting up and down from the floor.
From deepening one's practice to improving balance and relieving stress, Yvette customizes each class toward her student's unique needs.
